More than any other chamber music grouping, the piano trio brings together three soloists who must both fully express their virtuosity and blend with each other into a balanced whole. This programme features solos, duos and, of course, trios. From the tenderness of Schubert to the brilliance of Mendelssohn, and through the passion and poetry of Chopin, Schumann, Smetana, Brahms and others, this programme includes something sure to appeal to every taste.
