Rising star Morgan Szymanski presents a concert of music for solo guitar including works by the popular Spanish composer Albéniz; waltzes by the Venezuelan composer Antonio Lauro; and some beautifully evocative music by the Paraguayan Agustin Barrios Mangore known as the Paganini of the Jungles of Paraguay!
Morgan will also perform music by the English composer Alec Roth written especially for him. Roth is well-known for his frequent collaborations with writer Vikram Seth and some of the works performed in tonight’s concert will reflect the literary inspiration of his compositions.
Born in Mexico City, Morgan Szymanski studied at the Royal College of Music and Conservatorium van Amsterdam and is renowned not only for his outstanding musicianship but for his engaging stage presence and infectious smile.
