Led by pianist Arturo O’Farrill, son of Chico, the ensemble plays the O’Farrill repertoire with freshness, vitality and urgency.Committed to the Afro-Cuban legacy, the band’s varied programme moves from “explosive… aggressive tempos played with pinpoint ensemble precision… to gently swaying tempos.” (Chicago Tribune).
