Thursday 31st January 2008
8.00PM CITY HALL THEATRE
Enjoy the rich and sensuous sound of the four charismatic musicians who make up the Italian Saxophone Quartet. Each is an established soloist in his own right, and among their number is Federico Mondelci who wowed local audiences with his performances at last year’s Bermuda Festival as a soloist with Moscow Chamber
Orchestra. All prizewinners in prestigious competitions, Marco Gerboni, Mario Marzi and Massimo Mazzoni complete the Quartet.

Performing two different programmes the ISQ musicians will demonstrate their exhilarating bravura as they blow their way from Scarlatti and Vivaldi, through Cole Porter and Gershwin and more.

TUESDAY 29TH JANUARY
The programme includes Bach, Mozart, Michael Nyman
(Tony’s Song), Joplin, Gershwin, Cole Porter (I’ve Got You
Under My Skin), Piazzola (Oblivion – Libertango) and more.

THURSDAY 31ST JANUARY
This programme is an all-Italian affair featuring amongst
others Gabrieli, Vivaldi, Rossini, Pepito Ros (Cycles),
Di Marino, Ratti (Jazz Band), Tonino Tesei (Thelonius II)
and Nino Rota (Passerella).
